Google Analytics (GA)
What is Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a free service from Google that enables you to track and monitor the performance of all your websites from one user interface quickly and easily.
What does Google Analytics do
You can set goals so you can easily see where visitors to your website are coming from, where they go on your site how long they spend and what page they exit from – if you have a newsletter or a form on your website you can also see who has signed up for these and you can also any sales that have been made.
You can get geographic information so you can see which countries your traffic is coming from – including the city and even an IP addres.
Find out where your visitors are clicking on each page - not just what links - but what areas of each page are getting the most interest.
You can create logins allowing others to see your traffic reports for example if you have colleagues or superiors, you can give them access to see the traffic reports.
You can sign up at http://google.com/analytics/.
